    INTERESTED IN MILITARY HISTORY?

Our mission is to enable re-enactors, historians, actors and military enthusiasts to fire authentic vintage military rifles in a safe range environment.

Range Days in France are lucky enough to be based in one of the most beautiful parts of France, on the border between the Departments of the Charente and the Dordogne in the sunny south-west. It's always been one of our strengths that customers have been able to come and shoot as a small part of a standard family holiday in an area with a rich tourist heritage, one with all the normal infrastructure that that implies, with plenty to do for all the family amidst wonderful scenery and truly great food and wine (of course)!

Many of our customers choose to base themselves around the wonderful village of Aubeterre and all our Gites and recommended Hotels and B&Bs are either in it or close to it. The photo top right is of the village Square and you'll always find all the RDF instructors there for Happy Hour on a Friday night! Check out the website link for more details on the village by clicking on the picture. We'll be happy to recommend and book restaurants for you in the local area.

For families activities available close by include horse-riding, cycling, canoeing, walking etc plus the coast is not far away with seaside resorts such as Royan near enough for day trips.

Eat & drinking is a wonderful part of life down here with a huge selection of great value restaurants and for the discerning wine buff then St Emillion is close by as a gateway into the many fine Chateau of the Bordeaux region - http://www.saint-emilion-tourisme.com/.

If you have kids with you then the theme park at Futuroscope is well worth a visit during your stay with us. http://en.futuroscope.com/

In September every year look out for the world famous vintage motor racing in nearby Angouleme. http://www.circuit-des-remparts.com/

If its food you're after then we heartily recommend our friends at Le Garage in the village - great views, superb food and an easy walk from our recommended B&B! They speak English and it's a great place to unwind after the day on the range. http://www.legarageaubeterre.com/
