Range Days in France was formed in 2014 by two former British Army soldiers who realised that many like-minded military enthusiasts in the UK were unable to own and shoot former military rifles. Weapons that here in France we take for granted. We can offer you & your family or friends luxury accomodation in our own Gites or high quality local B&Bs. Naturally we'll tailor shooting packages to suit individual tastes, budgets and interests.
All of our instructors are retired UK Military &/or Police personnel, who carry licences issued by the Federation Francaise de Tir (National shooting Authority).
Our weapons are licensed under the French Categories B or C and subject to availability may include SMLEs, No 4 & No 5 Lee Enfields, Argentine 1909 Mausers, Mauser K98ks, Mosin Nagants and US M1 Garands and the recently acquired 1944 P 38 Walther & Glock 17 pistols. Further weapons are being added regularly and the available weapons are subject to change.
UK Heath and Safety procedures are followed together with the appropriate French domestic Range regulations.
Ear defenders and safety glasses are provided although if prescription glasses are worn it may be necessary for the shooter to provide their own eye protection, due to the variations in spectacles. Strong footwear and warm casual clothing are recommended.
Uniforms may not be worn at the Ranges, but may be worn at the morning sessions for photographic purposes.
Ranges are currently available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
To enable closer supervision & one to one tuition only one to three shooters are allowed on the firing point at any one time although spectators or family may view as appropriate. If you have extensive, proven ex-military experience we may be able to offer a discount.
